Foreign Banking
Placing assets into offshore accounts can offer a strong layer of protection from future liabilities, and provide a way to diversify your assets offshore. We believe in not keeping all of your assets in one investment, one currencyi or one country. Foreign Banking is one of the easiest steps to take into the world of offshore investing and asset protection.
We can assist you in:
- Offshore Asset Management
- Foreign Annuities
- International Certificates of Deposit
- Foreign Exchange
Offshore asset management employs the expertise of asset managers knowledgeable with investing in international markets not available in the United States.
Offshore investing should offer three advantages:
- Enhanced opportunity
- Risk reduction
- The opportunity for an improved return on investment
Our affiliated Offshore Asset Managers bring with them an expertise of global markets not often found domestically, combined with years of experience, maximizing gains and minimizing risk. To take advantage of the many investment opportunities that exist offshore please call one of our Asset Protection Specialists.
An ICD (international certificate of deposit) functions much like to a standard CD.
In both cases, the bank requires a minimum deposit, which varies between banks. However, there are many advantages to choosing an ICD:
- Because foreign banks are free to compete with interest rates, investors can realize more profit with an ICD, even if the foreign bank minimums are higher.
- ICDs are generally private, confidential and safe from legal actions such as divorce settlements.
- Because of the income tax benefits, interest on ICD accounts are entirely profit for the account holder.
- The major difference is a lack of Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) protection, though many foreign banks have their own insurance to cover their clients.
- ASI has decades-long relationships with reputable, trustworthy, well-established, offshore financial institutions and can facilitate your investments needs.
ASI is a non-bank foreign exchange dealer that offers foreign currency banknotes, and international wire transfers.
The advantages of using ASI's non-bank, foreign exchange services are:
- ASI has several wholesale suppliers of foreign currency. Since ASI is not committed to only one supplier, we can effectively get the best rate by "shopping" the exchange rate at the wholesale level.
- We are able to facilitate the conversion of most major currencies.
- Typically, when US dollars are sent to a foreign bank for exchange, the client will not know the exchange rate until after the conversion is done. You are subject to market fluctuation and the banks' exchange policy. ASI will fixi an exchange rate only with your approval. This puts the control in your hands.
- ASI is an intermediary offering another level of privacy in the transfer of your funds abroad.
- ASI's toll free number can be used in the US (to include Hawaii and Alaska), Canada, and the Caribbean. This simple, cost-effective access is beneficial when you are conducting transfers abroad.
