Asset Strategies International,
Inc. (ASI) is unmatched in the crucial niche it continues
to dominate, namely, assisting clients in globalizing

(including numismatics), foreign currencies, and overseas

Michael
Checkan is President of Asset Strategies International,
Inc. (ASI). ASI is a Maryland corporation established
in 1982. ASI is a boutique operation working in the areas
of precious metals, foreign currencies, and overseas wealth
protection.
Michael and his business partner, Glen
O. Kirsch, are the two principals in the firm that specializes
in helping individuals globalize assets utilizing the
international precious metal and foreign currency markets.
ASI buys and sells precious metals (gold, silver, platinum
and palladium) in coins, bars and certificates; plus,
numismatics for delivery in various parts of the world.
Also, it deals in foreign currencies from more than 100
different countries in cash bank notes, travel checks
and payments abroad.
Michael was Senior Vice President of
the Deak-Perera Group (1967 to 1982); at the time the
nation's oldest and largest foreign currency and precious
metal investment firm. Earlier, Michael was one of the
first foreign exchange traders in the international department
of one of Washington, D.C.'s largest bank.
Michael and Glen are editors of their
own newsletter, Information Line
(IL). IL is sent 6 times per year to 16,500 readers throughout
the world. Financial newsletter editors oftentimes quote
Michael about his views on methods of diversifying assets
globally. He travels extensively speaking at numerous
domestic and international investment conferences, seminars,
and workshops.

One
of the most highly regarded experts in precious metals,
foreign currencies and the global diversification of assets,
Glen Kirsch's expertise and insights are based on a distinguished
career in the international marketplace. He is the former
Chief Executive Officer of Deak-Perera (Washington), Inc.
where he served from 19741982. During his tenure
at Deak-Perera, he was instrumental in the creation, development,
and refinement of one of the first Precious Metals Certificate
Programs in the United States. Under his direction, the
company pioneered the marketing of platinum and palladium
as an investment medium to the general public. In 1975,
at the request of the U.S. State Department, Mr. Kirsch
supervised the purchase of precious metals and foreign
currencies from Vietnamese refugees at Eglin Air Force
Base, Florida.
Mr. Kirsch was the innovator of many
of the commodity future trading and hedging procedures
developed by Deak-Perera. These techniques, generating
sales volumes in the hundreds of millions of Dollars,
elevated Deak-Perera to the number one retailer of precious
metals in the United States.
He has over 30 years experience in
the precious metals and foreign currency industry. He
is also an acknowledged authority in the area of the globalization
of self-directed retirement funds.
A graduate of Penn State University,
Mr. Kirsch is a numismatist with over 45 years experience
and a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA)
and the International Numismatic Society (INS). As a licensed
commodities futures broker, he is a member of the National
Futures Association (NFA). He is also a past member of
the International Association of Financial Planners (IAFP)
and was a licensed Maryland real estate agent.
In 1982, Mr. Kirsch, along with Michael
Checkan, formed International Financial Consultants (IFC)now
known as Asset Strategies International (ASI)a Maryland
Corporation, which specializes in precious metals, foreign
exchange, and overseas asset protection.

Rich
Checkan graduated from the United States Military Academy,
West Point, New York in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Chemistry. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant
in the US Army as an Infantry Officer. He served tours
of duty at Fort Benning, Georgia, Schofield Barracks,
Hawaii, and on the Demilitarized Zone in the Republic
of South Korea. He held various leadership and staff positions
at every level from platoon through battalion sized organizations.
He left military service in 1993 at the rank of Captain.
After a brief stint of direct sales
in Macon and Atlanta, Georgia with telecommunications
and multinational service corporations, Rich joined ASI
(then, International Financial Consultants, Inc.) in the
spring of 1996. Rich has experience in every facet of
ASI's operations, and is ready to service all of your
globalization needs.
