Foreign Exchange

ASI is a non-bank foreign exchange dealer. ASI offers foreign currency banknotes, travelers checks, drafts, and international wire transfers. There are definite advantages when utilizing ASI's non-bank foreign exchange services.

Some of the advantages are:

  • ASI has different wholesale suppliers of foreign currencies. These suppliers are a mix of banks and non-banks that ASI has developed a relationship with over the past 30 years. Since ASI is not committed to only one supplier, we effectively get the best rate of exchange by "shopping" the exchange rate at the wholesale level. ASI adds its exchange fee (and a USD30.00 wire fee) to the best rate received, so this "shopping" of rates truly benefits you, the client. Most foreign exchange dealers do not make this effort. For less than a quarter million U.S. dollars, the overseas banks typically cannot compete with ASI’s rates as a result of this procedure. For amounts in excess of a quarter million, ASI continues to be competitive. Additional advantages make ASI the more attractive choice.
  • ASI is more competitive compared with US banks because most US banks do not routinely deal with foreign exchange. ASI is a specialist in foreign exchange, while most banks are not.
  • Typically, when US Dollars are sent to a foreign bank for exchange, either by wire transfer or by check, the client will not know the exchange rate until after the conversion is done. You are subject to market fluctuation and the banks' exchange policy. ASI will fix an exchange rate only with your approval. This puts the control in your hands.
  • ASI is an intermediary offering another level of privacy in the transfer of your funds abroad.
  • ASI's toll free number can be used in the US (to include Hawaii and Alaska), Canada, and the Caribbean. This simple, cost-effective access is beneficial when you are conducting transfers abroad.
  • ASI has worked with banks and other brokers in Europe for 30-years and has developed strong relationships. ASI is capable of quickly and efficiently solving any problems that may occur when transferring funds globally.
  • ASI has a strong appreciation and working knowledge of the application forms and procedures for dealing with most foreign products of interest to US clientele. Therefore, ASI can assist in expediting your application process regardless of the vehicle with which you choose to diversify assets abroad.
