Platinum - The Noble Metal

Platinum bullion coins come from the most prestigious mints around the world:

  • Platinum Eagles are produced by the U.S. Mint;
  • Platinum Maple Leafs by Canada's Royal Canadian Mint; and
  • Platinum Koalas by Australia's Perth Mint.

The easiest and most cost effective way to own a small quantity of platinum is to purchase the one ounce, Platinum Maple Leaf coins.  Because of smaller demand, premiums can be higher than for goldi coins.

The safest and most secure way to own larger quantities of platinum is through the Perth Mint Certificate Program (PMCP). Because the mint will buy back any of the metal it sells, you are assured immediate liquidityi. To learn more about the only government-guaranteed precious metal program in existence today you can read our page about the mint on this site.

One ounce bars are another great way to buy platinum bullioni. However, when palladium or platinum trade at double the price of gold, we suggest investors already owning palladium or platinum consider trading for gold or silver.
