Platinum Bullion Coins
THE UNITED STATES MINTi
In 1997, the United States Mint minted the first American eagle platinum bullion coini. The coins are the only official investment-gradei platinum coin from the US Mint. The coins are available in one, one-half, one-quarter, and one-tenth ounces. We recommend purchasing one-ounce coins because of the premiums on the smaller size coins can be far greater.
THE AUSTRALIAN MINT
The Perth Mint’s Australian Koala platinum bullioni coin is 99.5% pure. The beautiful frosted coin depicts the koala on the obversei and Queen Elizabeth on the reversei. The government of Australia guarantees each coin’s quality. The coins are available in one, one-half, one-quarter, one-tenth and one-twentieth ounce. We recommend purchasing one-ounce coins because of the premiums on the smaller size coins can be far greater.
