Silver Bullion Bars
.jpg)
Silver .999 fine (99.9% pure) bars are a popular way of investing in silver because they are:
- Uniform in size, easy to handle and convenient to store,
- Compact, which enables investors to secure a great deal of wealth in relative small storage areas,
- Bars with recognized hallmarks are readily accepted for resale, making them very liquid.
- Bars are internationally negotiable
- Silver is a precious metal; a store of value; it can be art, and jewelry; or an industrial metal
- Of all the silver mined over the past 5,000 years, more than 90% of it has been used up – completely.
Rarely do 1,000 ounce silver bars weigh exactly 1,000 ounces. Most 1,000-oz bars contain somewhere between 960 ounces and 1,030 ounces. After newly poured 1,000-oz silver bars cool, their weights, hallmarks, and serial numbers are stamped on them.
100-oz and 10-oz silver bars are the most common. Because of the lower premiumi on larger bars we recommend 100-ounce bars, but are glad to assist our clients with any purchase of silver bullioni. We also recommend “junk silver” for your silver bullion acquisition.
